PIRANG RICEFIELD AND FISH PONDS
Extensive fish ponds on the south bank of the Gambia River near Faraba Banta.

Birds to look for are Black-crowned Crane, Plain-backed Pipit, Quail-Finch, Crested Lark, Yellow-billed Stork, Yellow-shouldered Widowbird, Flamingos, Terns, Gulls, Pelicans plus Stints, Sanderlings and other waders.

  

 
FARABA BANTA BUSH TRACK
Typical African bush with several raptor species.

Target birds will be Dark-chanting Goshawk, Grasshopper buzzard, Gray’s Eagle Owl, Tawny and Wahlberg’s Eagle, White-backed Vulture, Greater and Lesser Honeyguides, Rufous-crowned Roller, Bearded and Vieillot’s Barbet, Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird, Woodpeckers, Starlings, Weavers etc.
